In the build-up to the game, Sarri had challenged Hazard to do more for the team and branded the forward more an individual player than a leader.But Hazard answered his boss in the best way possible, with a brilliant attacking performance for the Blues.And he responded to the criticism when asked after the final whistle.“To be fair I don’t care – I just play my football and it doesn’t matter what the manager says, Hazard told Sky Sports.“I’m always focused on this team and I just want to do my best for this team.”Ahead of the game, Sarri had also said of Hazard: “I prefer him when he speaks with his feet. The potential is higher than the performances, I think. After last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal, the Italian said he was angry with his team and slammed his players for their apparent lack of determination.But after the win over Tottenham, the boss said: “I didn’t attack my players. I said only that we had a problem. The problem was the motivation. We reacted very well in this match. Now we have to show continuity.He also praised Hazards performance and the display of the whole team as they booked their place in the final against Manchester City.“Hazard was very good, especially for 60-65 minutes wonderful, the manager added.2
